prohormone vs roid users

I was just wondering,

Do many BB (ameteur and pros) switch between roids and prohormoes and if so why??

I didn't do that much research into prohormones so forgive the dumb question

I imagine that a number of non competitive BBs use a combination of PH and AAS. The more serious BBs would rely on traditional AAS and HGH. As prohormones have to be converted by the liver into active anabolic compounds they aren't very efficient.
