Default '1-AD, a bodybuilders story... featuring the Godfather.'

okay here it is guys, my 1-AD story...

i'll be starting 45 days of 1-AD @ 400mg/ed and 4-derm @ 300mg/ed tomorrow (17/01/05)

aim is to add as much mass and strength as possile over the 6 week period, aiming to add at least 12lbs from this cycle for it to be IMO worthwhile, 15lbs would do nicely, i'd settle for 10lbs minimum, any less would be a big dissapointment, but from what i've researched on this cycle and considering it is my 1st cycle i'm optimistic that i will hit my target comfortably

current weight taken on empty stomach this morning is 83.8kg/185lbs/13.2st
current bodyfat is a dissapointing 14%
age 20
height 6ft2/188cm
guns 14.8 inches cold
waist 32 inches

hopefully i'll get some pics up soon, they are from my mobile phone so they suck, but its either that or nothing

my on cycle supps are as follows (not including whey protein or MRP's):
1-AD (ergopharm)
4-AD (dermabolics)
Multi-Vitamin (asda)
Vit. B Complex (H&B)
Vit. C (H&B)
Fish Oil (H&B)
Saw Palmetto (H&B)
ALA (primaforce)
Creatine Ethyl Ester (discount-supplements)
Glutamine (all-in-1)
ZMA (all-in-1)
Viper (maximuscle)
Taurine (myprotein)

PCT supps include all of the above from Multi-Vitamin downwards, as well as:
Tamoxifen Citrate
Vitex
Tribulus
Milk Thistle
Clenbuterol (still not sure if i will run this yet, will decide closer to the time)

diet and training information will follow shortly

Thanks Tom

made my first application of 4derm today, first cap of 1-ad with my breakfast

man i know what your saying about the novelty thing, i struggled to sleep last night coz i was exctied, and when i was rubbing that 4derm into my bis and pecs i got a real buzz from it, i loved it! but i know that after a few days it will be just another one of my boring daily tasks, much like brushing teeth, making my sanwiches, filling up my water bottles... etc

the 1-ad wasn't quite as fun, just gulped it down with the rest of my ''energy pills''

kinda strange actually saying i'ma run a cycle, and actually doing it, part of me always said i'd never touch anything like this... i guess i never thought i would take it this far but i have, it was obviously just destined to happen so i ain't gonna look back, bring on the gains!!

Week 1 - Monday, 17/01/05

Workout 1 - Chest

Overall a good workout, strength was pretty amped, probably a mix of the CEE and feeling on a high from starting the 1ad and 4ad today, been stuck between 90 and 95kg on flat bench for ages now! finally started pushing them out on 100kg today which i was real happy about, dynamic chest training on saturday might have helped, or it could just be this CEE doing wonders! probably too early for any effects from the 1ad

Here's what i lifted...

8:05 - Bench Press - warm-ups: 10x50kg / 8x60kg / 4x90kg / 4x95kg. working sets: 5(1)x100kg / 5(2)x100kg / 6(3)x100kg(F)

8:25 - Incline D/B Press - 6x35kgs' / 4x35kgs'(F) / 3x35kgs' > 6x22.5kg(dropset)(F)

8:40 - Flys - warm-up: 10x15kg. working sets: 6x25kg / 6x25kg(F) / 5x25kg(F)

8:55 - Dips - 11xBodyWeight(84kg) / 11xB.W. / 8xB.W.(F)

9:00 - FINISH

Total Working Sets: 12
Total Time: 55mins

(n) = number of reps completed with assistance/help
(F) = set was taken to absolute failiure - literally till i can't push any more on my own and fail mid-way through my final rep.

Other info: i got chatting when i was doing my flys, it normally takes me about 10 mins to do them and incline d/b press 10 mins too, so my workout time is normally around 45mins long... so that is my only personal crit on the workout, other than that it went well i thought

Workout 2 - Back

Not the best of workouts, feeling a bit tired and worried about forthcoming exams, my stats seminar kinda messed me up a bit when i checked out the practice paper and realised i could not answer a single question! That really got me down and i was panicing all day, then i got delayed getting to the gym, kept bumping into people wanting to chat, but i went quite heavy again and it was by no means a bad workout, i just felt it could have been better. Oh yeah and the gym was packed! waited 10mins to get a barbell so i could do my bent over rows, i wasn't in a good mood at all that evening!

Lats

6:10 - Pull-Ups - warm-up: 10x+50kg. working sets: 8 / 6 / 4 and a half (F) / 3 and a half (F) (..bad start)

6:20 - 6:30 - waiting around for a couple of scrubs to finish their bicep curls on the olympic bar, by this time i'm really getting pissed off!

6:30 - Bent Over Rows - warm-ups: 12x25kg / 12x45kg / 8x60kg. working sets: 7(1)x70kg / 7(2)x70kg / 8(3)x70kg(F)

Traps

6:40 - Shrugs - barbell: 20x70kg / 15x90kg / 12x100kg. machine bench press: 10x135kg / 8+3(lost my grip)x150kg / 6+2+2x157.5kg (grip kept goin.. i need some straps badly)

Abs

6:50 - Weighted Crunch - 40x5kg / 40x5kg

7:05 - Hanging Leg Raise (straight legs) - 20 / 8(F)

7:10 - FINISH

Total Working Sets: 15
Total Time: 60mins

Default dissertation Q

hi, it sounds like your strength and size are both improving - good news. i was reading your story and there was 1 part that particulary interested me as im currently doing a dissertation on the sociology of bodybuilding and steroids. You said that when you started your first cycle you remember thinking to yourself - 'i never thought id do anything like this'. Do you mind me asking why and how you got into bodybuilding in the first place and what made you in the end try steroids. (im assuming that you are talking about steroids - or do you mean pro hormones?) I would be very grateful for any info. cheers mate, Rich
