Default The Way of the Warrior

I think that a progressive documentation of my feeble attempts at a GOD-like physique are in order...lol. Just a way to help stay motivated and on track. Please, by all means, be violent and hostile when commenting on my diet, workout, and supplementation.

**FLASHBACK** (like in the movies)

I became interested in bodybuilding in 1999, not competing, just keeping BF low and lifting heavy weight. I was 17 years old, 185 lbs., 6'3" and had the intentions of making a lifestyle out of it BUT. I got married a year later and started working 2 to 3 jobs. As you can see, it is the same old story. Get married, work too much, get fat. It happens to the best of us, or so I would like to believe.

**END OF FLASHBACK** LOL

I always had physical jobs and training in martial arts helped a little, but not too much of a work out fighting for an hour every 2 days. My job now is a little different and demands physical agility and strength at the most extreme levels, but not all the time.

As of today I am 255 lbs. I am much stronger than I was 7 years ago and probably average my body fat percentage at 27. Around Christmas I was about 285 and now just can't seem to get under 250 lbs., but I can wait. I have time (just turned 25 last week). My biggest fear is that if I didn't change my lifestyle now my doctor in 20 years would be telling me that, "if you would have made these changes 20 years ago you would still be living a beautiful life." I am not one for regrets so I have made these small alterrations in my life, with the help of my MC family, to get the best out of my youth. lol. So right now I will THANK EVERYONE who has had a hand in my new way of life. Your experiences and advice are something I look forward to everytime I visit.

Rest: between 5-7 hours of sleep during the week and 7-9 hours on the weekends. My schedule is always changing from working nights to days, every couple of months. It can be very taxing, but I refuse to use this as an excuse anymore.

Nutrition:
5.15am Isopure Zero Carb Protein Shake and Vitamins
5.35am Myoplex MRP
Workout from 5.40am - 6.40am
7.00am Get to work
7.10am 4 eggs w/ 1 yolk, 1/2 cup oats
9.30am 1/4 cup of basmati, 1/2 chkn breast
11.00am Isopure Zero Carb Protein Shake
12.00pm 1/4 cup of basmati, 1/2 chkn breast
2.30pm 1/4 cup of basmati, 1/2 chkn breast

At this point in the day I become undisciplined except for Isopure Zero Carb Protein Shake and Vitamins before bed. I know what I should be eating, I just get bored with eating same sh*t when I get home. Any high protein low carb recipes would help with the boredom very much.

Workout:
Lifting heavy, haven't really put together any strict regimen. I have been reading some of the articles from extemenutrition.com and they are some of the most concentrated information I have ever seen. Thanx Doug. Basicly I have paired up chest & bi's, shoulders & tri's, and back and legs. Doing 4 workouts per muscle group, with 4 sets per workout, and 8 reps per set. I have been studying Doug's "Best of Both World's" article and I will be changing to that next week. It is full of compound movements and the tips are spot on.

Supplementation:
I put all of these into a little plastic bag and take one in am and one in pm.
1 red panax ginseng
1 syllium capsule
2 1000mg Vitamin C
1 Mega Men Multi
1 Green Tea cap
1 Probiotic cap
1 550mg Dandelion Root

Alright I think that pretty much sums it up.

Weight has started to fall off. Right now I am at a plateau, because I am just f*cking up my evenings with too many calories, but not tonight!

I know I am trying to lose fat and I didn't put in any cardio. I just started at a new gym and got a new bike so after figure out what I am doing, which is sparatic at the moment, I will post.

NO PULLING PUNCHES, LET ME HAVE IT! 8)

255 at 6'3" sounds like a good weight to me. you've been working out several years so no doubt you carry some muscle. you must binge eat in the evenings cos you don't eat much food through the day. i'd say, slightly obvious, eat clean strictly, mon to fri, eat whatever at weekends and put in regular cardio. weight loss doesn't mean starvation. i've learned this lesson. this year i'm eating, and you know what, it's coming off.

255 at 6'3 with 21% body fat is incredibly massive and not that fat....

you must be a total beast. I'm probably 20% body fat right now at 210 and 5'9, no where near you !!

:O)

Ain't life GRAND!
