havent posted here in a while so thought i would drop by.
Food intake is about 2900 calories on workout days and about 2400 on non workout days. Diet is quite strict but capable. Im putting on about a pound a week and loving the bulk at the moment. Going to give it unrtil march anyway and see how it goes. There are some progress pictures in the picture thread

Thumbs up Re: Den's Journey to 160lbs

Kick ASS!

You have had a hell of a journey. I am glad to see that it worked. (there's hope for me). Pics look great, really something for me to shoot for.

30% to 9% that's what dreams are made of.

Your inspirational, bro.

not too sure if i can trust the calipers mate to be honest but i just go by the mirror now. If im honest mate i did it the "unhealthy" way where i wasnt eating for a day or two at a time to cut the weight. Trust me dont do it! Just cut the weight sensibly and it will all pay off in the long run. Its not complicated it just takes will power thats all.
Where in the states are you from. Really want to go over there this year and the sport is massive over there so will prob have a tour around the place

Cheers mate

hey guys been a while so thought i would drop by.
Well so faron my bulk i have put on 8lbs so my current weight is 10stone 8.
I am really fairly happy with this, as my lifts are going up and, my bi's have gone up by about half an inch. My diet is really clean, and there is a chance that this may be slowing my gains but its a mindset that i have and am trying to get rid of. Going to start adding a cheat meal in every week as i have heard this can boost the metabolism a little, but i am keeping sane at the minute as i actually love the food i eat lol

My lifts at the minute look a little like this

Max
Deads
5 x 110

Bench
4 x 60

Squats
8 x 80
havent really tried to max out as i am going for mass and not strength.

Measurements
waist 30
bi's 13
calfs 14.5
chest 38

the bulk is going quite good to be honest although i feel that i am getting a little fatter but this is ok as the pants still fit and can still see abs. I think im about 12% now according to the calipers and will get back on the scales tomorrow morning.

My lifts have gone up wuite a bit on the bulk
Bench Press
60kg x 4 reps

Deads
110kg x 4 reps

BB bench 55lb x 5 reps for 3 sets

In order to gain more size i think i will continue to bulk up to about 12 to 12 and a half stone and then cut with the hope of competing sometime next year, instead of cutting for this summer and then doing another bulk. Any opinions on this are appreciated??

Default Den's cutting diary

Just to let you all know what is happening now.
My bodyweight is currently 10stone 11 and feel that i need to cut for an unexpected holiday at the start of June. According to my calipers i am only at 9.8 % bodyfat but i feel i am more than that as only 4 abs are visible at the moment.
So i have worked it out that i have 10 and a half weeks to cut the bodyfat. I know this is not ideal but i have only just found out about the holiday.
Basically ive got to try and adjust my diet so that i can keep as much muscle as possible whilst losing the excess fat.
My current routine allows me to be up early enough for morning cardio, which i feel is needed

When i get back from college today i am going to try and structure a diet which will enable me to do this.

I am currently on an intake of 2900 calories each day with with 290g of protein, 140g carbs and 75g of fat so if you have any tips that could help me to structure this diet i would be entirely grateful.
