Default Strength training

Hi,

this may seem like a bit of a stupid question but what is the difference between normal training and specific strength training? does strength training basically envolve lower reps?

in a nut shell yes!

reps between 5-8 are typically for strength and stimulate fast twitch muscle fibers. These fibers are responsible for short periods of strength.

reps between 8-12 are typically for muscle size

higher reps are for muscle endurance and stimulate slow twitch muscle fibers, those are for endurance.

hope that helps
