Default close grip

alright guys, i want to start adding some close grip bench presses to my workout but i want to no whats the proper way to do it, how far apart should your hands be on the bar?

Tips: Lie on a flat bench. Hold a barbell with both hands with a close grip, about 8 - 12 inches apart. Keeping your arms close to your sides, lower the bar until it is touches your chest, approximately 1 inch below your nipples. Return to starting position, concentrating on using your triceps to push.

i would just like to add that this is the first time i have copyed and pasted anything and is a major development in my computer skills..!

its a great exercise, i do close grip bench one week then skull crushers the next for my triceps

whats skull crushers? as u can tell i'm not 2 knowledgeable wi the names for all the different exercises

lie on the bench with your arms extended holding the bar in a closer than close grip bench press grip and keep your upper arms locked and bend your elbows bringing the bar to your foerhead or nose, if you go too heavy you'll see why they are called skull crushers!
