Default do i go 105? or do i play with the big boys??

Im in need of advice big time. What weights do the top class 105's get in power-jerk, deadlift, an squat?? (havent trained with strongman equipment yet) an what about the big guys??

My aims are for the absolute top, but i dont know if there realistic, if i could be top class level as a heavyweight i would certainly want to do it, i would love to be britains strongest man, an of course world strongest man, an feel most people are not all that bothered about 105, but im not 300lbs

...advice wanted!

im against the use of steroids yes, absolutely, but if id been training for 5-10 years none stop, puting my all in, an i was coming up just a little short no matter how hard i tried (because my competition is using), then like i said, its either quit, or cycle - i will not quit

If i could deadlift 800lbs, squat 800lbs, power-jerk 400lbs, hammer curl 300lbs, close the COC number 4 gripper, an i was suited to just about every strongman event, would i be up there with the absolute best???

I dont think its possible to get anywhere near just short of those lift without aas even with aas its very hard to reach those lifts. If you did manage to reach those lift yes you would be up there. Just being realistick mate.

lol no, id have to chop my legs off for that! - i mean 105kg, the under 231lb strongman division

thats absolutely fair enough, an cheers

however: >at 6'4 - 205lbs - 15% body fat/lift completely raw, not got a belt yet<

- my power-jerk works out at 175lbs - double would be 350
- my deadlift works out at 400, so 800 is double
- my squat is around 350, so double would be 700
- hammer curl is 110, so less than 3 x
- captain of crush ive done the number 2 for 9 so max works out at 250, 115 to go with that

- After a year out from lifting, an never doing any strength training before, ive been training for about 4 months
- ive only hammer curled once in years
- ive done about 2 proper squat workouts
- ive only just now figured out what suits me as far as form on deadlifts goes (went up 20lbs for the same 8-12! damnit!)
- i did the number 2 for 9 after less than a weak of having them
- ive power-jerked only once
- have the ability to put on lots of mass
- have large hands

After 5-7 years of training, is it really too much??

theres a point where hard training and diet and even roid cycling stop, and genetics comes in. You are wondering whether its possible to deadlift 800 for example - when only the genetically gifted on this earth + shit loads of gear + 100% perfect diet and training + no injuries in about ten years gets them that.

My point being is, your goals seem very high, its good to aspire to a goal, but im' not sure that your are realistic.

hes huge for 181! very long arms too, looks kinda weird - insane lifting

i understand what your saying nick, but it just kinda sucks :-(

to me i look at it like, deadlift for instance is 5.6lbs a month for 6 years, should probably go up when i get a belt, an ive only just started, so i expect to be in the 5's before a years out, theres only 3 to go then

you talk about how theres only so much you can do, then the rest is your genes..i think i wanna find out what kind of genes i have :-)
