zx9rjas, you are very inspirational. When you first mentioned that you used to be an anorexic 7.5 stone I thought you were just using the term loosely. Kind of like when you have a friend who drinks a lot and everyone calls him an alcoholic, even though he really isn't suffering from alcoholism. I've seen real alcoholism up-close and personal (both of my parents drank themselves to death by the age of 50) and it used to bug me when people used that term loosely. True alcoholism is not a pretty picture. Addictions and disorders are difficult things to overcome. It warms my heart when I hear about a success story like yours.

Tom, I'm assuming you are talking about 37.5 kg dumbells, yes? If so, that is awesome. The hardest part will come when you get up to 40+kg dumbells, half the battle is just getting them into position! Great job to you too, Nick.

GTF

yeah 37.5 dumbells couldnt do 1 proper rep on 30's a year ago. Reckon I could 1 rep 40's now hopefully if i went 4 it (hopefully I will be doing quite soon) . Always thought I was training hard until this year when I got far more knowledgeable about the nutrition side of stuff and in the best shape of my life without a doubt now. Our Uni gym only has dumbells up to 40's anyway its shit but you pay for a 3 year membership at the start so would be a big waste of money to change gym but may have to pretty soon. I can incline bench press 8 reps on the 40's and hopefully soon will get somewhere near 4 reps 40's for shoulders.

ahh well its kinda an ego boosting problem to have I guess

yeah GT even picking up the 40's is a **** ah wel. cheers 4 all the advice, encouragement seems u been helping me alot lately cheers its most appreciated. Plus start NO2 tomo will let u know how it goes althou not expecting it to be a miracle or anything plus reloading on creatine on same day (just worked out that way) so not sure how much progress will actually be down to NO2 anyway but guess i will just have to c. Plus I always kinda figure any supplement has to be better than no supp or atleast thats how i justify spending all the money.

Also, don't discount the placebo effect. When you're shelling out the scratch for supplements you generally focus even more on training and diet in order to maximize your investment.

Going to go train now.
I hope they have turned up the heat at the gym...because I am going to blow the f*cking doors clear off their hinges. Rage Against The Machine kicks ass!!! (although I do not neccesarily agree with their political views)
