Default How strong are your triceps

Since the shoulder press post proved so popular lets have a new one.

Whats the best tricep extension you can do. Mine is 30kg for 10 reps single arm dumbell extensions over head.

What exercise do you think are your best if you reackon your particularly strong on an exercise start a new thread and see if you can be beaten.

hello garry,

myns quite crap 15kg for about 6 each arm. i like doing them as you can really feel it working the triceps.

i,m just shit at them lol

i need to work on triceps,one of my week spots.


did deadlifts today, 200 kg for 8 reps, just lowing the weight to about 10mm off the floor,and back up.

I must admit I have never had a problem with my arms it probably wouldn't matter how I trained them they would still grow. But thats how it goes, swings and roundabouts, we all have good and bad body parts. My backs probably one of my weaknesses.

Did you see the post by samson4, he reckons he can do tricep extensions with 113kg. If, and its a very big if, he could his arms must be HUGE but he don't know how big the are cause he don't measure them!

nobody could do that,

ok, its an old topic but noone is posting so ill revive it for newbies and updates garry and steve. i dont do one armed tricep movements over my head but i do two handed dumbell extensions overhead with which i start out at 50 lbs and go up 3 more sets to end with 8 reps at 80 lbs. i dont know how big that is. on the machine doing extensions down with a straight bar i can do the stack which says its 150x12 reps at the third set. i think those things are lighter than they say though.
