steriods in world strongest man

i was recently in a forum where i found out that the world strongest man marios pudninovski (wrong spelling probably) took steriods, i cant see that this is true coz i recorded all the heats and the final of this years competion and it said on there that drug testing takes place so how could he of, but i was suprised how muscular his stomach was as most strongan are quite fat on the gut, anyoine know any more information on this let me know, also does anyone know of any strongman websites dedictated to stronman or the official website,

im afraid to say matey they all take lots of gear,
u can still get big and strong without them,
but just not to that level,

Hi joe16,
Beleive it or not its not that difficult to get away with drug testing.

Most users wouldnt risk competing whilst taking anything as i would of thought most if not all of them would be tested.

The problem is 'out of competition' testing, which is supposed to be random (i have my doubts).
But at the end of the day if you dont piss in the mans pot u cant be banned!
Ways round being tested are:-

2 home addresses. one where u live which u NEVER reveal and another address preferbly your parents who will simply say your out.

2 Training venues. One where u train which again u dont reveal and another where people can say you've been and gone.

Someone informs u your being looked for at which point u stop taking what ever it is your taking and keep low for a while.
When ever u are sure its fine to be tested u train 4 a week at the gym the tester is looking for u at and provide a clean sample.
Testers arnt stupid they know whats going on but there is absolutly nothing thay can do if you provide a clean sample.

There are loads of lifters who take steroids for most of the year and are tested 3 - 6 times randomly each year and have never been caught.

I know one bloke who has an 'arangement' with a freind to get the sample off the tester before he gets back to his car IF he's ever caught.
Thats a bit extreme i know.

But basicaly you just have to be difficult to find.

I had no idea that it really went that way, frankly I can't blame anyone for wanting to take steroids. But yeah marius was in amazing shape, almost too amazing he really dominated the contest. I recall someone saying that the world had never had a champion of that conditioning before.

Just a note on the above.

A friend of mine was in poland a couple of weeks ago 4 the european strongest man comp. He was there with his friend who was on his first placement on the drug testing team.
He was told on his arrival by Mariusz Pudzianowski's people that if his name was to be called for a grug test he would not make it back to the airport. As it happens, the drug testers were there for the entire competition and NOBODY was tested. Ive spoke to him since and he was amazed at what went on. He was honestly worried for his safety if Mariusz was required to do a test. Not sure if there are all run like this but it certanly answers joe's question.

Drug testing doesn't mean a whole lot now a days there are sythetic urine for sale, Insulin and GH are undectable, Winstrol and other drugs are out of your system in as little as 24 hours.

If I remember correctly he "use" to be a semi-pro bodybuilder looking for a pro card, so he almost certaintly would have been juicing in them days.

Mariusz Pudzianowski has been stripped of his 3rd place at the 2004 world strongest man for testing possitive for roids, just shows he couldnt even win while on roids, proves how strong these guys really are

I gotta seriously doubt that.

I didnt kno Mariusz had tested positive.
When was his test? actually at the worlds strongest man or from a sample taken earlier in the year?

huge sublect to get into here guys/girls.drug testing in these events as in most sports are to keep naive joe public and the sponsors happy. at this level there is just too much at risk with regards careers, sponsorship deals, MONEY.
with a bit of knowledge and the right (insider) info its not hards to pass these tests.
