| Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Bangkok Posts: 17 Rep Power: ![]() | OK Blokes, Got back into training a couple of months ago and started the Beyond Brawn method a couple of weeks ago and decided that the only way to keep motivated is to shame myself with my fat pics. So here they are, I know I have a long way to go and I foresee lots of cardio on my horizon. I know these pics don't belong on a muscle site yet but I think it might be the motivation I need to keep a check on my diet. I welcome all comments. Thanks guys. | Making Progress Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Falkirk Posts: 367 Rep Power: ![]() | Hi Lingyai And welcome to the boards, the key to losing fat in my opinion is diet, I used to be 245 lbs and now stay at a healthy 200lbs with a good nutritional program and off course training schedule. I can't be too accurate becuase a lot of the time I work and eat on ships (usualy 6 weeks on / 6 off) then I am at the mercy of the cooks and just try to eat as best I can. I can't take protein with me. Here is roughly what I eat now. 0800 Wake up drink water and go to gym. 1000 After workout, fruit smoothy made from water, bananna, strawberry or pineapple and protein powder 1 scoop, creatine 1 tspn. 1200 1 cup pasta with tin of tuna and olives 1400 Hard boiled egg and fruit 1800 Veggies with fish or chicken, maybe rice 2100 Fruit smoothy I know it is not perfect and sometimes I might eat some fried chicken or fried rice, but not often. I drink tons of water and maybe 1 coffee per day. Look forward to hearing what you think. Quote:

Might be a good idea to have a good bowl of porridge oats for breakfast instead. 1200 1 cup pasta with tin of tuna and olives -Ideally wholewheat pasta but this is OK, is there 40g+ protein in the tuna? 1400 Hard boiled egg and fruit -1 Hard boiled egg is 6 grams protein, (egg white is 3 grams) - try having 2 whole eggs, 6 whites omelette instead... 1800 Veggies with fish or chicken, maybe rice -Again, portions should be significant... 2100 Fruit smoothy -I think you are eating too much fruit - the sugars in fruit (very high content) although not high GI are mostly fructose, which actually isn't that ideal for cutting fat or building muscle - great for vitamins / minerals but too many carbs i think... try replacing this for 1 scoop of whey in a pint of skimmed milk before bed. I know it is not perfect and sometimes I might eat some fried chicken or fried rice, but not often. I drink tons of water and maybe 1 coffee per day.
