Dont worry your physique is fine for a 16 year old , I can tell youve done some weights already actually . Im sure the others can give some good advice, i wont because i dont know much but I just wanted to comment to say you have a fine base to start with.

hello mate...

dont despair.. most bodybuilders start off where you are... i was 9 stone when i first started training!

first things first... if you do things correctly you should start seeing some results (nothing major) within a month or so...

there are 4 key factors to training:

1 - training correctly
2 - eating correctly
3 - resting enough
4 - not listening to bullshitters who know nothing! thers plenty of lads on here who really know there stuff... so your in the right place!

next thing is... join a good gym... with bodybuilders in... dont be worried about being skinny.. like i said we all start somewhere and a real gym wont let its members put anyone down so like i say dont think anyone will look down at you!

next you need to learn the basics... hopefully at a good gym therell be people there to show you... but just in case.. get on ebay and have a look for "Arnolds Encylopedia of Bodybuilding" for £20 or so its got everything you need in for when your starting out and worth every penny!

thats all you need to know for now... hopefully well see more of you on here and can get you to where you need to be... and have you having fun getting there!

I try and encorporate a 'core' (abs and stability) workout in every week, which involves a lot of static ball work, twists, planks, woodchoppers are all good for oblique building.

As its not a fat issue and you are young and growing fast, eat lots, train hard and rest loads, and you will get your results in no time.

my advice to you young blood.....

when you get to the gym, stick to basic compound mass building exercises: Benchpress, squats, deadlifts, shoulder presses, ect. Exercises where you can push / pull a lot of weight... and make sure you do the exercise properly

Stay away from silly little exercises that you see other guys in the gym doing.... more than not they either don't know why they're doing the exercise - they saw someone else doing it and thought they'd do it too.

You stick to the basic compound exercises for six months and you'll see who gets bigger and stronger.

...and enjoy it.

I'm with slimjim on this one, use the compound exersices for as long as you can.

Deadlifts, squats, bench press etc...in the gym we train at i think only a couple of guys do these types of exercise and you can actual see a difference in the type of frame they have compared to a lot of the others.

Madmonkey.
