check the background music at our gym. The Rocky soundtrack. And i do realise im not full squatting by the way was worried bcoz i stumbled and nearly fell with that weight 150kg a minute ago. Just wanted to short squat it bcoz was annoyed at myself for failing

cheers for the vids and pics guys,

definately doing well, the gym looks alright aswell,,, bar the dumbells like you said only going so heavy.

say did you take the vids on a digicam,,cos i have one of these,

also how did you upload them to your website?

i think videos shwo a more true and accurate picture of a persons muscularity..

if i can figure out how to do it,i,ll do a vidoe of me squatting and deadlifting.

yeah i took it on my casio exilim exs3. has 30 second video function which is pretty cool, i got like 5000 photos and vids on my computer since a year ago of random shit and my life.

to get a lycos ftp space just goto lycos.co.uk and sign up for it. Then use an ftp client like smartFTP to upload anything u want on it. I think the limit is about 40mb, so u can fit lots of those movies and pictures on it. All the posts of pics i've ever done on here bar 1 set have been through that site so its quite cool.

That's awesome guys, thanks for the pics and especially the video footage.

Now Tom I realize you had stumbled previously and I admire your attitude to "beat the weights" and complete that set with 150kg, but you need to go WAY lower. I am sure you already know that. I hear guys tell me all the time how they can squat 300 lbs, but when I train with them and insist they squat "ass-to-ankles" I find that most can barely do 135 lbs. I used to squat like you, but I finally decided to forget about poundage and start squatting super deep (way BELOW parallel). It was a little frustrating/embarassing at first, but eventually my poundages grew...as did my legs

You may be a little young to remember a guy called Tom Platz but he had the most amazing set of wheels ever (even better than todays pros...although Cutler and Ronnie come close).

Here is a video of Platz doing 23 reps with 500 lbs.
Note his depth...to get Platz-like legs you need to squat like Platz!

Okay...for some reason that link did not work. I will double check the address I wrote down. I hope it is available, it's a great link.

Fcuk!!! Still not available apparently ops:

The first address I typed was incorrect...I put "video" instead of "videos"

For those who are still interested, go to www.professionalmuscle.com and enter their professional muscle forum (no need to register to view). Scroll down to the thread titled "Tom Platz 500 lbs. x 23 reps WOW" It's working there :?

Cheers, GTF
