Default dbol/oxy windy/bloated stomachs... loss of appetite etc.

had a conversation last night with a mate whos currently suffering with this and have suffered myself in past.... but realised i dont know the exact answer as to why it happens?

basically, after a week or so of dbol/oxys... alot of people feel like their stomachs are filling with water/wind and get a kind of ****elly (is that a word?) feeling in stomach and lose all appetite and it seems to get worse when you eat.

ive had this problem in past too... exactly what is it? am guessing something to do with stomach acid and the tabs?

and can anything be done to stop it other than coming off tabs? in past i have found peppermint oil works.

Its actually your liver swelling (due to the stress impossed due to metabolising the tabs) and pressing onto the stomach. this gives a feeling of fullness and not so much a loss of appetite but just 'not bothered about eating'. Digestive enzymes can work as well as peppermint or even just plain old chewing gum, anything thaty helps you digestive system out a little.

Not my area of expertise this Lee but......

I suffer from IBS and those are some of the symptoms. If Neil is right then the immediate thing that springs to mind is that if there is pressure being put on the stomach then there may also be on the colon etc too. get exactly the same - trapped air, loss of appetite and if i eat anyway I swell up like a balloon

This is where most IBS issues occur and where pockets of air etc can easily get trapped (in my case due to undigested food or other reasons but any restriction could cause it) and may potentially be a cause for the symptoms you describe.

The prescriptions I have which resolve this very well are colpermin (peppermint oil as you said) and buscopan. Both of which can actually be bought off the shelf at any chemist as IBS remedies.

like i say, had the prob in past. just never 100% been clear on exactly what it is.. alot of mates suffer this alot... strangely there the ones who when you mention milk thistle look at you a bit blank! lol

i have suffered from ibs in past zara and often find some foods from time to time set me off with trapped wind etc... theres nowt worse when your trying to lift a heavy weight but feel like you want to pump!! but then your a laydeee (and know nowt apparantly lol) so u may not understand! have you ever tried eno? - its liek andrews liver salts but better... and really good for helping relieve the bloatedness!

Not that I ever do lift weights tho..... being a girl and all. And even if I did I wouldnt be any good at it or know what I was doing! haha
