He was in his mid-fifties and has competed several times. Rather than a chance to ask questions, it turned into a bit of a lecture and I was left with lots of questions about his thoughts on PCT Basically, he was saying that he has never run PCT. I'm not great with the scientific langauge, but his argument was that as an older bodybuilder, normal test levels are pretty low anyway and therefore, shutdown is going to be far less dramatic than it would be for a younger bloke. Subsequently, leave the body to restore to normal function naturally. Now, I'm a "better safe than sorry" bloke, so will still follow the pct I had planned, but it has made me think, is there anything in what he was saying or was it a load of bull |

I would have thought that it was fairly critical for a 'manopausal' man to want to really look after what is left of the test production in his body... A lot of older guys naturally get gyno too because of lowering test levels, so if he has any sense i would have recommended a proper pct schedule for him. I'd always been told to make sure one of the tests should form the basis for any cycle I do, because with low natural test, the gains will be very good (and this has been the case). Is this the same principle in reverse?

I think I'm saying that if natural test levels are low anyway by virtue of being a menopausal man, then post cycle, they haven't got to, or be able to, restore to the level of someone much younger
