Two weeks ago, I had my blood work done and my liver enzymes came back elevated. I'm not sure as to whether I should stop this cycle and start up with PCT or if the numbers are not high enough to be a concern. My numbers are as follows: AST - 86 ALT - 127 Should I be concerned and discontinue this cycle? My diet is high in protein, however; I am not sure as to whether the elevation is due to the gear or my diet. Any help? |

Alanine Aminotransferase (AST) catalyses glucose oxidisation in the muscle during heavy training. ALT is similar but I do not remember exactly what. Bottom line, you should have taken several days off training prior to a bloodtest, but AST/ALT alone is not an indicator of liver problems in the case of a regular athlete. |

You MUST expect things to change abnormally when you're tampering with your own hormone levels, if he'd checked your test levels would you be wanting to stop because it was elevated? ______________________ Welcome to Musclechat.co.uk "I was born perfect, and just like the great white shark, have never had to evolve!" www.uMuscle.com - Bodybuilding & Sports Video Sharing Community! |

I'm kind of with MMUK on this one, when using hormone related products certain levels will change and I don't see Jarmans as being to a level of great concern or a danger to his health as long as his cycles are not too long and his down time is realistic. None of this approach is without risk, a GP is not the person to ask, their knowledge sucks, you want to speak to an endocrinologist. www.extremenutrition.co.uk ______________________ www.extremenutrition.co.uk - 25% OFF FOR ALL MC MEMBERS, discount code MCD25. www.betterbodies.uk.com Seriously cheap sports nutrition! I suggested to get bloodwork done again and get the GGT levels checked and i also suggested he got his CK (creatine kinase) levels checked also, this way the GP could see if there was any liver problems from the GGT and from the CK test he would be able to quantify the amount of muscle trauma he was going through and then translate that to see if it justified his levels being so high, with all things considerd i think it may. good luck on your test jarman. |
