Steriod/nutrition/body literature

Hi,
I'm interested in learning more about steriods, nutrition and how the body reacts to both.

I've ordered ALRI Building The Perfect Beast for something to read but I think I'd be better off with something that explains the basics of nutrition,the body's reactions and get's progressively more detailed and from there stems into supplements/steriods.

If there is such a book, or books that together would match that description I'd really appreciate being told about them.
