Any suggestions...? Thanks |

When I first started training I was bone thin, weighing in at 130 lbs. at 5'5". I am now about 5'8 at roughly 155 lbs. I train heavy and always use proper form (I have confirmed this with multiple personal trainers in my gym). My diet consists of between 6-7 meals daily (including 2 protein shakes). I eat more than my friends can believe, and each of them weighs a good fifty lbs. more than me, haha. Daily caloric intake is roughly 4,000 calories and I am a big fan of egg whites, double hamburgers, steak hoagies (double steak), vegetables, chocolate or strawberry milkshakes, almonds, toast lathered in heavy amts of peanut butter, tuna, ect. I stay sure I don't exceed 2 1/2 hours without some source of a high-calorie meal containing 35-40 grams of protein. My gains came to a stop about 9 months ago, and I am unable to exceed a max of 215lbs on a flat bench, 235 on squat, and 225 on deadlift, and can't put on an ounce for the life of me . I do NO cardio in fear that I will burn needed calories. I've decided that gear may in fact be the only way I can achieve the kind of results I have in mind. Does this help at all...? |

It sounds like your an ectomorph: The ECTOMORPH * Definitive "Hard Gainer" * Delicate Built Body * Flat Chest * Fragile * Lean * Lightly Muscled * Small Shouldered * Takes Longer to Gain Muscle * Thin So you find it hard to gain mass. It amazing how high calorie diets in ectomorphs still don't always result in weight gain. Your still young, so you are definitely at the bottom end of the scale when it comes to thinking about trying steroids. Before recommeding that, I would ask you to post up your training regime too. It could be something in there that is holding you back. Your bodyweight is still low, lower than i'd expect for the amount you eat and presumably train, even for an ecto, which leads me to believe you may not have fulfilled your natural potential yet. Do you do lots of legs training? Do you change your exercises around regularly? Are you on any supps/ have u tried creatine? THeres a wide range of legal prohormones that you may also consider, but we'll come to that after Nick |

I don't think you have reached your natural plateau yet by any means. You do seem to have some solid knowledge but what is your nutritional breakdown per day protein carbs sugars fats saturated fats fibre etc.... also what is your training split like? Finally I will say that a lot of people use steroids too early me included so this isn't a dig or anything. But I seriously don't think you need AAS yet just to change up a few things. Try 5000 cals a day. You need to understand your own optimal performance unassisted by gear before you understand how to manipulate your cycle to ensure optimal performance when assisted by gear. ie. What your gona do to make sure you gain as much as you can when on cycle and the amount of calories you need to eat PCT not to lose it etc... |

I hit chest and shoulders, starting with flat, and then I mix in two-three other chest excercises (it varies), Weds. I do bi's/tri's & forearms, thurs. is legs (five sets heavy squating), then moving to either leg presses or leg extensions, followed by hamstring curls, and Sat. I hit Back (Heavy Deadlifts, Wide grip chins, Barbell rows - I mix in diff excercies...always go HEAVY tho). My training partner is 220 lbs. and is always there to assist me when I need a spot. As I noted before, I currenlty do NO cardio. In the past I have tried it and I got my body fat percentage down to a scary 4%. I have tried creatine in the past (Precision Engineered), and did not notice any gains in strength, I felt like I lost definition and felt more bloated however (I think maybe due to the water weight I obtained while I was on it...?) As far as my nutritional breakdown goes, per day I would say I average roughly 240 grams of protein, 250 grams of carbs, 45 grms sugar, 70 grams of fat (20-25 grams of which is saturated, usually no trans fat), dietary fiber I'd say is roughly 30-35 grams. I know people in the area that my age who went on roids and they blew up very quickly. Every time I see them I am amazed at the amt of size they have packed over such a short period of time. Just thought it would be an easier way for me to start to gain some actual mass. Is 21 really too young to think about this as an alternative? |

It must be too low. I know it doesnt seem like it, but I know people who are forced to eat more than you to grow ( poor Jay123 7000 cals a day) EAT MORE. 1 thing you could potentially try which goes against standard BBer rhetoric was something one of our mods Jason posted in a thread a few days ago which had never occured to me. Try eating more less frequently. This way your metabolism will be slower. However I doubt this will make a huge difference. Looks like your cursed to have shopping bills the size of a small countries bro. You could try weight gainer shakes they are packed will calories. Also shovel high calorie good foods down your neck peanut butter olive oil etc.... Good luck bro |
