Heres a newbie question: How do you open amps??

Hey people,

Just about to order the gear for my cycle and suddenly realised that I dont know how to open amps!! Stupid boy!!

So....

I heard that best method is to add some salt and pepper and bite it off! :twisted:

But seriously you could buy a amp breaker or do it as most people do. Break it with your hand in 1 quick move.

Best way is to wrap a tissue around the top of the vial, and holding the vial in your fist break off the top with your thumb. Make sure you soak the tissue in a little alcohol to sterilise the outside of the vial and catch any small fragments of glass.

Remember not to squash the top of the vial, this may crush it, you just want to snap the top off.

If all else fails use the vial as a suppository for extra slow release. LOL !!!
(please don't actually do this anyone)

Good thinking batman! I may give that a go myself, mind you opening the amp the wrong way on my fist attempt wasn't the smartest thing I've done! Ouch!

just hold it between your finger and thumb with one hand and use the finger and thumb of your other hand to gently snap it off

come on guys its not that hard or dangerous as long as your carefull you dont need any amp breakers or other stuff just dont hold the top of the amp too close to the neck where it breaks and you'll be fine
