Default OPERATION/STEROIDS

IM HAVING AN OP (RHINOSURGERY) on the 3rd of october on the 20th sept i got to have a chat with the person who is doing the op, i have had a form off him asking me to take it to my gp to see if i have been on any medication, ie anti dep, diuretics anti couagulants and so on, but there is no mention of any anabolic steroids on the list, ive taken eq,sust, deca, clen and cytomel in the last 9 weeks, i will have to tell the surgen that i have taken these before he does the op, but does any of you know if steroids or cytomel can mess up the op dont wanna go under general anaesthetic and be ill, the last time i had a jab was 2 weeks ago and i will finish my cytomel in the next couple of days, come the time of my op i will be clean but i know steroids can stay in your system.. am i worrying over nothing

maybe overworrin a little bit, but i would still tell the surgeon...the only thing that will still be in your system s/b the deca...ive heard rumors that it can cause you to bleed more than normal, but really dont think its true from personal experience...i dont think there would be any effect on the anaesthetic...but im no doctor...

Hi mate

Maybe worth mentioning to your doc as steroids cause wounds not to clot and you bleed alot more.
