if the pain is really bad try some Solpadeine its Paracetamol and codine and if that doesnt help try takeing ibuprofen with the solpadeine, its safe but make sure that you arent doing it all the time and it does work

go and see a chiro or osteopath, bad backs are what i know-the doc will look at you ,but unless you`re lucky he`ll say weights are very bad for ,you should stop and give you some crappy painkiller like volterol-obviously you mustnt train thru pain-a good chiro should sort the prob in a couple of sessions, but if you can- try some diazepan(muscle relaxant)for 2-3 days).then start a gentle stretching programme(i HAVE to stretch 2x everyday or my lower back seizes up)try to stretch progressively, but v.slowly(i havent overstetched in 2 years)find out about trigger point thererapy-for me it has worked miracles(see beyond brawn-STUART MCROBERT imo a natural training god!)start speed walking-no impact cardio at all,and when you start training again slow the cadence down for each rep(i dont feel comfortable doing the 3secs upx3secs down, but more like 1.5 secs up and always a 3 sec down(negative)it must be smooth with no bouncing and dropping-everything should be progressive.i`ve gone from not being able to squat or deadlift at all to 100kg`s(this week)-thats 100kg`sX20-rest pause style-that might sound like u pussy weight to the big guys, but i`ve started from a bare bar on all exercises(to strengthen my back)so i`m pretty ****in` chuffed and at the mo am getting new pb`s each workout with no real back probs---woo hoo.

I did mine when I was doing deadlifts, I went to a chiropractor who did sod all, I bought a inversion table from Argos 99 that sorted it out.
