Default CAN YOU SOLVE THIS DEBATE???

Guys, can you sort this debate out for me, i know im rite because its obvious, but my mate just wont have it, what he says is if your on steroids you can go the gym 5 days a week and work the same body part every day aswell, and you'll get huge no need for your muscles to recover apparently cos of the juice, can you explain to him why you need to let your body recover, cos i feel like im talking to a brick wall here!!!!!

3 major components needed for maximum muscle growth -

In no particular order -

1 - resistance training ie heavy weights 45mins-1hr

2 - excess cals from protien, cards and fats - roughly 500cals-1000cals a day more when on gear

3 - REST - We do not grow in the gym! We grow when we are resting, get as much rest and sleep as possible to reep the benefits while on gear.

True steroids can make you have more intense workouts and possibly speed up recovery times BUT unless you are built like a pro on 3g of gear a day norm routines apply.

3-4 days training routines are plenty for the average trainer using gear and allows ample time for rest and growth.

Thats how i have done it anyhow

Just my 2 cents

Rest is extremely important, even on anabolics. As is not capitalizing the title of every post you make.

Anabolics may help speed up the recovery process ; they do not render it unecessary.

Pro bodybuilders split-up their bodyparts to allow adequate rest to occur between bodypart hits. Powerlifters and Olympic weightlifters use periodization techniques throughout the training year. They taper their training as the meet approaches in order to take advantage of supercompensation, which will only occur with rest.

I guess your mate knows more about training than the pros.
Good for him
