Flavoured maltodextrin

Mix it with your water and not only get a nice drink but increase your cals by drinking through out the day for bulking

maltodextrin has a high glycemic index and constant ingestion will cause too many insulin spikes IMO. Drink some iced tea or water mixed with a small amount of lemon juice.

Yea maltodextrin is a supposed to be a middle carb i agree it turns into simple carbs in the body BUT the constant sipping of the water during the day allows for added cals and taste to the water. The high glycemic index is overly exagerated when you are bulking bro.I know many top class bodybuilders who kill two birds with one stone with this procedure ie water intake and cals.

I do know where you are comming from mate but tbh i dont think it will make a huge difference.

I have seen guys with bigger insulin spikes/declines drinking isolate protein and feeling very bad and almost hypo

maltodextrin is great for post-workout mixed with whey, gives a good insulin spike yet doesn't taste too sweet.

If you're on a bulker I guess it won't do too much harm. Now that I'm older (33) my metabolism is slower so I'm wary of too many simple carbs

Does that account for the water in a shake. I make mine with about a pint of water. Can't go longer than 1hr without needing a piss now, lol
