try mixing it with some lighter oil based gear like viromone or ideally some site oil to thin it down a bit. warm the amp up in water for a bit first.

Thanks - it the day after the injection and i'm happy to report it is less painful today, still sore tho, but considerable less

The "sting" you feel may be from alcohol. I assume you are using alcohol to prep the area before injection right? If you don't let it dry, you are pushing alcohol into the hole and it stings. If you aren't already doing it, let the alcohol air dry before you stick yourself.

Highly unlikely to be from the alcohol, try it without any and you will still get the pain ! Trust me
