Ric, You have an annoying habit of speaking down to people. Y2K wasnt referring to your diet, just your generalisation of weight gainers. Youve already spoken to me like this and now one of my moderators. We have room for team players only.

A BSC in Biology AND Pharmacology - so a combined science degree then. WOW.
Also, a former student of pharmacology would know that sublingual administration of a compound BYPASSES the liver :

I apologise if Y2K took offence by my comments, I think it is a case of 6 of one and half a dozen of the other however I will take your comments on board.

I apologise for my schoolboy error regarding the post regarding IP's stuff, I had no experience of using the sublingual test as stated earlier in the string, so I asked on another forum for you to get you some feedback from people who have used it. I was busy at work when I got the feedback from the members of the other forum so simply 'cut & paste' the information across for you to peruse, rather than reading it myself, trying to help you out.

I must point out that you appear to be talking down to me by taking the piss regarding my degree, but I do not wish to make an issue of it as everyone is entitled the their own opinion which is what these forums are all about.

Peace ??

come on guys.............. degree or not, we all come in here cuz we share a love for something. We all wanna teach others what we know, and in return, learn from them what they know. A lot of people are gonna have conflicting ideas.......... But thats what makes us individuals. How boring would this life be if we all agreed!!!?? Really ****ing boring. LOL!!

Besides, what doesnt work at all for mr X, may really work for Mr Y.

So come on guys, we're all here to have fun, learn, teach and enjoy.
Now go on, lets hear the apologies from both parties please. Kiss and make up!!

think you took that a bit personally ric, dont doubt your knowledge as you stated you have a degree unfortunately i dont. i do have 14 years of training with weights manipulating my diet, anabolic usage and a shop full of supplements that are bought by my customers regarding there own preference/requirements/bodytype/training regime etc. also have the knowledge of my fiancee who has competed and won the scottish naturals twice and competed in the british championships so it must count for something?
i can understand the logic behind buying a tub of carbs and a tub of protein (preferably blended) as you can obviously control your carb intake more efficiently. however a true hardgaining newbie is better served with a very calorie rich gainer such as extremes build and recover with 4 protein sources 3 grams of creatine per serving vitamins minerals and carbs. perfect for someone just starting out and needing an all encompassing supplement to "kick start" and fuel their workouts.

I just felt that you were taking the piss, I have been training for over 7 years in BB & Kickboxing/judo and have a degree so also have an idea of how to how things work regarding eating practices for different kinds of sport. So when you advised me to go to my local ASDA and eat food it seemed like an insult to my intelligence.

As long as we both understand that we both have knowledge and could probably help each other as well as others on the forum with tips & hints while respecting each others views. I see no reason we can't out this little spat behind us, after all thats all it was. Lets face it, it was more likley caused by the fact we are typing rather than speaking to each other so misinterpretations happen very easily due to the lack of voice & body language.

Best regards
