Default Can steroids help injuries?

I have just recently began suffering sore joints after many years of training. I have been told that certain steroids may help me recover, is this true and, if so, which ones?

I don't know of anything proven ,some people boast extra healing properaties from Deca but once again no proof. I know the NHS use cortizone injections for joint and other injuries.

Anyone else know anything on this?

The only thing I suggest is Glucosamine Combanation tablets, they have 375mg of Glucosamine sulphate, which helps to maintain the thick gelatinous nature of the fluids and tissue found around the joints, 375mg of MSM supplies 30% sulphar which works synergistically with glucosamine and chondroitin sulphate.

It also contains 250mg of chondroitin sulphate and 4mg of Boron for strength and structure. Four tabs a day and it helps to maintain structures such as cartilage, tendons and ligaments.

Its not a Steroid (as you'd have guessed) but it will help. Its cost varys depending on how many tabs you buy but its quite expensive.

Plenty of the omega oils 3,6 and 9. You can buy oil with alls these in and good calories incl for clean bulking. Holland and Barrat do there own version but the branded one is called Udo's oil. Not too sure where you can get it, google it bud.

I think TJ is on the right lines mate, i dont think steriods are going to help you in general and its quite a drastic measure just for joint pain.

Try some of the things above and see if any gives you a release, maybe also take a few days off and make sure your letting ample recovery time between workouts

Steroids do help with joint pain. This usually occurs with water retention. Some steroids make joint pain worse than it is. Each has its own properties and each are PROVEN to work. But you should not consider using steroids for this sole reason.

Hi there,

I agree with all of the above but you could also try a compound called Streptokinase, its an enzyme that eats up old fibrous tissue, the type that gets laid down after soft tissue injury. There's a lot of good research into it and i think once the general public get a whiff of it it will be extremely popular. If you do an internet search you should find one of the few manufacturers.
