Default Greetings

Passed through a few sites and this seemed to be a welcoming place where people seem not to take themselves too seriously but know what they are on about so I thought i would sign up and start pestering you all and getting a bit of guidance ,

Im about to turn 28 and have neglected my fitness for a good few years now but my job and expecting my first kid have kick started me to make a serious attempt at one getting fit and two improving my appearance ,

I stopped smoking over a year ago I dont drink at home only occasionally now when I go out i have cut my diet right down over the last month as Im 5'10 and was 15 stone and beginning to feel it more and more , I have signed up to the local virgin gym and got my best pal to join up to as he was feeling the same way ,

I have had a few failed attempts in the past due to having nobody on my back and always faltering becoming disheartened just when i was beginning to see results but its a breath of fresh air with a gym partner really good to have someone to beast you when you dont feel like it ,

We have been trying to keep a diet packed with protein and do a definate 3 workouts a week work sometimes 4 work permitting , we do 30 mins rowing + 30 mins bike at the start of each session and then just beast a particular muscle group afterwards tending to do heavy weights and low reps for 4 sets on each exercise ,

Our aims are both to lose excess weight and be as strong as possible so any pointers or holes you can see in our plan please do point them out as we are defo learners and want to train the best way possible and push ourselves to the fullest .
