Default Nebie to forum

Hey guys, just wanted to introduce myself. I'm 24 years old looking to get back into training after a long absence. completely blame my gf for the state I am in now, too many "cosy nights in". Anyway i'm looking to get into the fire service next year so a going to be training hard. I'm looking to drop my bodyfat considerably as its creeped up to 28%!. I have always been pretty stocky and strong but i'm carrying too much fat. have tried ephedrine in the past and currently about to use Grenades! Will let you know how i get on but any help would be appreciated.

Hello, Welcome to the Forum...I spent five yrs. in the Fire Service as a vol. on a Ladder Co. Held the office of Lietenant for one yr. Anything I can do to help don't hesitate to ask. I'm pretty sure there is other Fire personel on this Forum as well. I'm pretty crappy in the weight lose dept. but I'm sure someone here can help. Until then have a quick look at this, it might give you a head start...good luck

I spent some time with the R.A.F. Fire Service many moon's ago with the idea of going to a civilian fire training centre in Kent afterward's.But after 3 week's of running up and down muddy embankment's with full 10 gallon drum's in each hand, repeatedly rolling and unrolling hoses and hoiking 5,8 and 10 stone dummies up and down the practise tower ladder with full respirator gear on,a 19 year old Gazz soon cracked under the physical stress.

Your fitness level's will be pushed to the max so i would recommend getting a head start with lots of cardio and a healthy diet.

I havent desinged my diet yet but if anyone has any ideas they would be most appreciated. problem is that I'm a store manager and my day is pretty hectic and i rarely give myself time for breaks, this is going to change as of this week. i've seen loads of diets in magazines and stuff with eating every three hours or so. What i want to know is any diets that you guys have tried that actually work!
As always any comments would be appreciated.

read the stickied threads in the diet section.
construct something with foods you like and then i reckon someone will tweak it for you.
lots of diets work but the best one for you is the one you can stick with...
carb cycling is very effective but i wouldnt fancy it,i`d go with something that gives you enuff carbs thruout the day to keep you sane.
