Hi

New to musclechat.

Been weight training for a few years , nothing serious, diet normally lacking commitment.

Currently following good diet and training programme.
What is the structure for a figure competition. How long does it take to get into contest shape providing diet and training and cardio is commited to 100%.

Hi Misfit, welcome to the forum!

To get in contest shape would depend on your starting point, but at the NABBA NE a couple of years ago one of the competitors had lost 7 stone in a year, she didn’t have loose skin and she was in shape. So hard to say really. One of the female competitors would be able to answer your question better than I can.

I’d say go and look at a couple of different figure classes, UKBFF and NABBA, see which competitors look like how you aspire to and go for that federations figure show.

Go for it, it’ll be a great experience, you'll get in the best shape of your life which can't be bad and all the guys on hear will do there best to offer you advice where they can.

Hi misfit. There are a couple of ladies on here that can give you the best advice possible as regards figure. pikey's advice is a good starting point though. look at the girls who are competing in different federations and decide which look you would like to emulate as the figure criteria differs massively between the different federations.

Still confused with the feds, at the moment im just concentrating on my diet and my training. Working really hard.
