Default Hi all

Hello to everyone out there

16 months ago I suffered a rather strange stroke which left me with around 15% strength down my left side,After 6 months of physio and yoga/pilates I managed to get back to around 70%,But mainly I got home from hospital each tome and scoffed food and chocolate like it was on ration.

3 weeks ago I kicked my arse and joined my local gym Im going 3 times a week doing 10 minutes bike, 10 minutes treadmill and around 2000 meters on the rowing machine at the end of training. In between I do 2 curcuits of the weight machines,As after illness i put alot of weight on (around 3 stone of flab) and lost alot of muscle power strength and size.

3 weeks down the line I have gone down 8 pounds then put it back on. (I have posted about this on the diet thread and beginers thread )

I have cut all the crap out of my diet and am eating 5 times a day .
Im feeling great and want to go to the gym more than I can.

Im 6 foot tall and weigh around 15 stone something (Weighing problems today) And Im only 32 so having a stroke last year was a tad scary
Would like to get to around 13 stone 5lbs to 14 stone but would also like to have defined muscles . I know its going to be a long road and need to get rid of the spare tyres first. But I am looking forward to it.

So any help along the way will be taken with open arms .

Thanks for taking the time in reading this and look forward to hearing from you all

Take Care
Simon F

Hi Simon

You are indeed an inspiration to us all, and welcome u to the boards. I trust u have been to the doc and been given the all clear to carry out intense exercise? Well as u are aware, ur diet needs to be addressed, keeping foods clean, rich in protein and in good fats. Also frequency of eating should be 6-8 small meals a day. Im sure this will be looked at in the diet section.
Again welcome

R
