Default Want the shirt to come off

Hi,
I have been training for years (37 years old now) and my weakness is diet. Have suffered with a crushed disc for years and at my last MRI they said I have to lose weight, I guess they mean fat...
Anyway, time to stop arseing about and get into gear, my problem has always been a big gut, no matter how much I train my stomach sticks out, I hope I can shift it because I hate not being able to take my shirt off on the beach. Also there is nothing worse than when you have been training hard and people you haven't seen for ages say "you getting fat"?
Anyway, with my new will power and the book Cal sent to me (cheers mate) let's see what I can do this year. Look forward to chatting to you guys.
Enjoy your training, good luck with whatever you are doing.
Ling

Ling - I pity the fool that don't take his shirt off !!

I'm a bit the same in that I played Rugby for 11 years at a fairly good level and weighed 12 stone. I used to comments like "are you eating enough" etc etc, cut a long story short I messed my knee up big time and had to stop playing and 2 years later had gone to nearly 16 stone and it was all on the stomach. I been training for 4 years now in and off, and still have the typical (middle age spread) stomach. I'm down to 14 and a half now, and it's hard work but with people on here giving you advice etc you won't go far worng. Keep up the training fella.
