| Making Progress | Hi everyone, i just joined and thought id say hi, i have been brousing the forum and seems full of interesting and useful advice. I have just started training again after a 3 year break, i have really let myself go unfortunately! due to family life and starting a new job, i been taxi driving for 4 and a half years now, and have managed to put on plenty of fat ! long hours and shift work is not the best for your diet ! in 2001 after leaving the army i weighed 210 lbs at around 10 %, im looking to get back to that condition, im currently 220lbs at about 30 %. so long way to go ! im 5' 9 tall by the way, One question i do have is do u guys think i should slim down and get my bodyfat down to 15 % or so before trying to build muscle, or should i hit compound exercises and eat a bulking diet now to build muscle, then do some cardio to burn off some fat, thanks guys, Last edited by bulldozer; 23-01-2007 at 05:18 PM. |

The building of muscle will come get your self looking good and this will give you a lift, then concentrate on putting muscle on. |
