Default New to muscle chat!

I've just left the army and I should be fit, but after 9 months in Iraq with no time to use the gym and 4 months of pretraining (e.g. drinking) before that, my phsique has taken a real hammering.

So here I am. Me, a shopping channel stepper machine, a tub of MET-Rx protein powder, a gym membership and a shiny new mountain bike!

I'm out of the army now, but on paid leave for 2 months. So it looks like 2 months of solid fitness for me because i'm sick of people saying "you've put on weight" and talking about my muscular arms - which just aren't any more!

Pleased to meet you all!
Mat.

Welcome mate, I have a load of mates in Iraq and Afghanistan just now, they are in my thoughts a lot.

Aren't you going back for some highly paid "security" work?

My original plan was to do that, but I was in Basra when the helicopter went down and seeing the "private security" guys kicking their heels around the camp unable to do anything put me off. Having been a soldier, I couldn't go back into that environment as a civillian.

Plus I went to a couple of incidents where contractors had been blown up by roadside bombs and it just isn't worth it, even for £200 a day!

Anyway, internet has been off so apologies for not replying sooner. Diet is still w*** and haven't done any serious phys yet! Guess I'll start Monday...
