Default Best Diet, Nutrition & Supplements Advice 4 A New Guy

Hi Everyone... After visiting several sites and forums i'm thoroughly freaked out by how everyone has a different idea how to train, eat etc. Some say i should only use multi vitimins and a good protein shake as my supplements, while others say i should use ATP Advantage, Glutamine and various others. Some say eat four meals while others say six. Some say train 3 times while others say 4, but to a man on uk-muscle and jon harris's forum no one can agree on the same training method. I've been working out for only four weeks... Please, i'm begging you, give me a clue... Thanks guys...
Jack

welcome to the board wannabebb

check out garrys beginners training routine, alot of newbies have used this and gained very well.

all you really need is diet wise

lots of protein ----- eggs tuna turkey chicken

good carbs ------ rice potatoes

and good fats ------ olive oil

combine this with good training and your well on the way.

you would be better off forgettting the supplements for the time being.

forget the complicated supplements for now try to get 1.5 grams of prtein and 2 grams of carbs for every pound of bodyweight not essential when starting out but try.

if your confused try looking into the science behind peoples training and diet theories

for example when it comes to food your body needs protein available to use to build muscle for as long a period of the day as possible but when you eat it can only absorb about 20grams every 2 hours (unless on steroids) then whatever is left over is wasted so its much more efficient for your body to eat small amounts regular.

Say you eat 4 meals at 8, 2 6 and 10 oclock by the time its 11 am the protein from your 8 am meal is gone and there will be no more in your system till 2 so more regular meals is better.

For training look into a guy called mike mentzer he came up with the high intensity traing principles that i've allways followed, dorian yates trains by these principles as well he makes alot of sense.

Gotta agree with the guys, supplements are just that supplements, just stick with the basics for now and maybe try some other things later on.
