Default Greetings

Hi all!
I would like to take the opportunity to inroduce myself to you all...
My name is Andy.I am 32 and live in Bristol in the South West/uk.

I have been training regularly for the best part of 17 years.
Currently weighing a hefty 18st 4- not lean.
Married 10 years and have 1 daughter who is eight.
I love training and have competed once about 6 years ago and aim to have another go as it was a great experience.

I have been reading the topics on the boards for a few weeks now and have found it very useful and has some great members willing to share their knowledge and experience.

I hope i can add to this.

Regards,

Andy Tanner.

Welcome to the board, Andy. Maybe we can learn some from you since you're an ex-competitor. Looking forward to reading your posts

Hi Nick
I live at whitchurch and currently train at JJB at Hengrove and also use LA gym at Easton which is what i would call a 'proper' gym so a session there is always going to guarantee a good workout.
Aiming to compete again in the near future having learned a lot from the preparation needed leading up to the event.

Andy

Hi Steve I placed 4th in last comp which was of a high standard so i was pleased with the result.
Did lose too much weight too quickly looked great at 15 1/2 stone but then kept going in an effort to get ripped dropping to 14 stone very ripped which was not what the judges seemed to be looking for on the day with the bulkier guys placing higher.
Preparation is key starting at least 15 weeks out in order to get to your target weight slowly- i lost about 28 pounds which was too much so ideally 12-18 pounds over contest weight ought to be the limit so accurate bodyfat readings are essential.
Have not seen Body Spectacular when is it on?

Andy
