Used to go to t-mag all the time but it's gone downhill now. Mainly post on ruggedmag now and totalelite occasionally. I started looking for a UK site as I've started powerlifting recently so thought I might find some like minded people in England.. I'm 30, married with a little boy called Callum who is amazing, as is the wife.. I've been training seriously for the past seven years. Used to train mainly bodybuilding style but now I train conjugated periodisation (Westside to many of you). I've actually trained at Westside UK which is in Birmingham. I competed in a push pull meet that my powerlifting division had in Gloucester and came third in the Bench and second in the Dead. Quite a learning experience and I'm keen to get on with my next comp. Weight - 100kgish Height - 5'8'' Bench - 150kg/330lbs Squat - 200kg/440lbs Dead - 220kg/484lbs I am natural and train without equipment.. From the South West of England not far from Bath. I train at home in my garage with a power rack, bench, 240kg olympic weight and 90kg standard weight. Cheers Stu |

LM600 - Using chains and also bands is part of Westside, known as accommodating resistance. For an explanation of these methods have a look here - http://www.deepsquatter.com/strength/archives/ls15.htm I have used bands on the dynamic day but haven't as yet used chains. I need to get stronger on the bench before using chains. Also if your interested in training Westside then have a look at this article from Dave Tate who trains with Louie Simmons - the Godfather of Westside - - http://www.t-nation.com/findArticle....icle=267eight2Gail - You should have a lot of fun in Bath. Although I only live about ten miles away I haven't been there drinking for ages..!! I am married now with a little boy so if I go out it's only locally.. I know the decent bars are near the Theatre Royal, The Guildhall and George street at the top of Milsom Street. There's plenty of people around anyway, students and the like.. Cheers Stu |
