Default Goverment Grants - Education

Hello All.

Just a quick one.

Does anyone know anything about getting a goverment grant for education.

Im looking to run through my full Microsoft MCSA/MCSE/MCP/COMPSEC+ course.

Its £8,000 to do, but it will open up a whole new area for me.

I know you can get goverment grants etc for education, but im already in a full time job, im 26, etc, etc.

Any information would be fanny-tastic!

Cheers

You could be entitled to an Adult Learning Grant but from what the DirectGov website states applications for the current acedemic year are now closed but ring the hotline on the right hand side and pick their brains about it.

not sure about the grants for non public sector stuff mate - but as a help if you check out some of the file sharing and torrent sites you will find alot of the videos and training materials for the microsoft etc. qualifications - which are bloody expensive to buy! (unless they have been removed)

If you are unemployed you can get grants to get you back on the job ladder.

A load of my mates did this when they took their door license qualification and signed a form saying they were unemployed and it was to get them into work.

Just a thought but as you own your own company you may be able to get grants to train up your staff and then go on it yourself.

I thought that stuff was only applicable to university students??? or those in dire need....

I think with things like cisco etc... its worth getting a company to sponsor you to do training etc... provided your in that industry already however.
