Rhomboid Major and Minor as you can see here are not the first muscles directly above the Lats. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...Rhomboidei.PNG

Teres Major is still the closest.

According to this diagram the Trapezius muscle as whole ascends down the middle of the back above the Lats,Trapezius ascending part with the top of the shoulders being Trapezius Transverse part and the section on the back of the neck being Trapezius descending part you can't rule that out either so its a toss up of those two.

Teres Major or Trapezius Ascending.

Would you count teres major as a 'group' of muscles though Gazz? Otherwise you're right but its a bitch of a question.

well sitting in the class room and everyones getting questions...
i keep waiting for an opportune moment to ask the question and fook me he ask me "which is the first muscle above the lats?"
not muscle group mind you.
well i says getting on me high horse "i think thats a bit of a shitty question to be honest" grinning and then explaining howd i`d posted up the question...

its seems the first MUSCLE above the lats is the teres major and the first GROUP (wait for it) is the teres minor/major group which isnt even listed as a group in the course work...
not the RC or trapezius altho the trapezius actually starts before the lats end...

lol i tried to tell him he was wrong pikey

thanks to you all for the input

you all da man!

Talking Re: question?

Lol well that's a bit off if their manual doesn't even list the Teres group... I don't suppose you asked him why the course book didn't have the required info? Mind you on second thoughts I once really pissed a lecturer off asking him that...

I hope the course is going well mate, when is the exam?

nope they 100% defo dont list it as a group.

cant piss him off too often-ive already questioned his use of upright rows press behind the neck and pulldowns to the back of neck.
i`m saving myself for a naturals training frequency lol.

exams on friday.
practical seems impossible to not pass the oral might be a bit tricky if i have a mind fcuk moment and the written part is seemingly now a multiple choice which is to be done from home on the comp lmao.

on the course are dudes who havent done the correspondence course that i did and have simply stumped up 690 i think for the week and basically know jack shite!!!

hence i`m appearing like a brainy knowitall cos ive been revising for 6 weeks....

i am slightly more confident of passing it now lol

theres a dude doing the course who`s reached the nabba finals-
hoping to get insome training with him at some point!

Thats sounds pretty typical, most instructors don't like being questioned...but I'm sure you will pass no prob...Like you once told me your trying to forget most of the shit you've learned from PT courses as they are out-dated and not practical...but what the fcuk, if you can't beat'em , join'em , then beat'em...

LOL

Contradictions are part and parcel of studying and learning.Especially when so much is written by so many.I remember only too well from my old course.I think the bottom line is if you face similar confusion in the future,do as Catchphrases Roy Walker and 'say what you see',lol.
