i think chelsea will turn it round but maybe not this season... roman abramovich is a man who does success... billionaire oil tycoon and all that... hes not stupid!

not sure whether avram grant is the right man but if he wasnt good enough to do a job i dont think theyd have let mourinho go

they also have peter kenyon... who in years gone by masterminded man u's rise to teh top alongside alex ferguson....

so i think they are far from dead and buried yet.... but think need this season to regroup and adapt to a different style of football!

There finnished mate, there is only so much money anyone person is prepared to spend, To many expensive players who are not upto the prmeier league.

Liverpool had a good start but seems like they will settle for 3rd or 4th champions league spot as this allows them to cheat.

whos going to buy chelsea off him tho? they would have been a much BETTER proposition to buy with mourinho still in charge surely? so i think hes in for the long haul

theyll still be top 4 next season at least.. they have good players and i dont think weve seen the last of the abramovich cash... or managerial changes..

true mate defo top 4, its just that they have a lot of well expensive players and there not coming up with the goods and a huge wage bill and they are not as yet self funding, there stadium is not big enough to get enough supportes in to pay the bills and even if it was i dont think they could get the crowd, only 20K watched them play last week.

Roman is actually funding the shortfall from his own pocket but then he wants success. I dont thik mourinho was that good anyway, tactically when chelsea were down he did not have a clew, just sent Terry up as a striker. How many clubs do that.

He brought the best players mate but so did Real Madrid infact they brought even better players and never had success, Wenger's none expensive side is playing the best football ever, which proves if your a good manager then you dont need huge amounts of cash and expensive wage bills. Ferguson is a bit hit and miss united have never been as good as they were when Cantana was there.

Hi Cal, he got the boot cos he has a big mouth and talks shit!, i.e. Chelsea v Barcelona he said the Barcelona manager had been in the refs room at half time and thats why the ref was biased, he never enetered the refs room mate, the Chelsea manager did nothing for there brand in fact he just made them a laughing stock.

the new manager is a Jew from Israel so i don't think there world brand will be any better mate with a Jewish manager.

You know what i mean mate, he made stupid comments which did nothing for the image of Chelsea and the league has been very poor for 2 years, i.e. united hit and miss, liverpool content with 3rd or 4th so they can feild weakened sides and go for champions league cup. cheating scousers

i totally have to disagree... its the strongest the league has ever been in my opinion... dont think it has much of a future with all the foreigners tho!
