At the moment im looking to assist people into the Buy to Let market. i.e. Locating houses then managing the rental for them. Ali M p.s. if anyone has any questions with reference to there mortgages or buy to lets or investments then im happy to answer them. p.s. I invest in property yes - but I can't be bothered with renting them out or paying a management company to handle the letting so I tend to buy, do up and sell. I've got two banks 'bothering' me at the moment to join their 'Private Banking' service so they can do my long term investments, but being 100% honest I'm too impatient for that - I perfer short term quick gains. If you do have any info on a decent source of repo properties which doesn't involve me sticking my name in the paper and saying "About to get repo'd then call me" I may be interested... Bigger houses are my preferred property type (i.e. smallest being 3 bed semi in an affluent area which needs some work) |

This week alone 3 lenders not high street lenders have closed there doors, they have no money to lend. They get there money of other banks and then lend it out at higher rates, problem is these other banks mainly american have no money to lend. There is no problem with the Rock and anyone who has money there is ok as long as its not above 30K upto 30K and your fully protected, however the uk goverment would not allow the Rock to go bust and it will not happen. Non high street banks are now strugling and they dont get any help like the rock. Watch out, the housing market will now suffer a mini crash, with over supply, rising rates, HIP's and no confidence amongst buyers. However if your in it for the long term then no worries, short term then i'd be very carefull. The Rock shares yeah defo worth a few quid, they will bounce back, as soon as the Americans have sorted them selves out. This is where you get your bargains. |

Its good for the forum to have an alternative conversation, and shows new members we are not just about training and drugs. Last edited by Ali M; 15-09-2007 at 11:07 PM. |

Don't put all your hard earned cash in mind you. A good investment is property in up and coming countries. If you want i can look into companies where you can buy shares in them and they just concentrate on that type of market this way you get the benefit of investing in off shore property with out the hassle of buying. Example Cape Verde, all year round heat, shit infrastructure and not enough flights going there, crap health service, not to good facilities, however there fast emerging and more flights planed and as the infrastructure improves which it will so will house prices. Its an Island so only so many houses and apartments they can build. Expect your investment to double over the years, apartments from 65k and sea front villas from 125K with pool. Remember it’s a tropical island not to far from Tenerife. |
