Thumbs down Funny things ive noticed in the gym.

Well its more funny people then anything, as in funny i mean their physique.

There's this one guy who trains at my gym who is clearly on steroids, has pig skin and rediculous chest, arm(19-20 inch bi's), shoulder, trap size yet cant lift weights for shit. Literally im not on gear and I must weigh about 3 stone less then him at the same height yet im lifting heavier weights with no where near that kinda size.

He also has the skinniest legs in the gym and looks absolutely rediculous.

There's another guy also who has tincey legs yet a rediculous sized upper chest, I mean I got nothing on that guy lifting wise, except legs of course.

But what the hell is up with the uneveness, ive never once seen them training legs.

Id personally feel embarassed.

Do you guys notice people like that in your gym?

my new favorite is the skinny, cap wearing lads who have been training for a few weeks and spend more time posing than they actually do training!

we seem to have a running trend of criticism on the board lately....

no i dont notice.....mainly focus on lifting and i wouldnt notice if a streaker ran through

THS yes I am modest as well.

Theres a few idiots I encounter as I have 3 gym memberships in Bristol.

TBH over the years I've found that these guys all have one thing in common, the desire to train and get bigger. Normally they donthave the knowledge that maybe myself and others do so they make the best of what they have.

I've always helped guys who want it, but then I have no tolerance for litterbugs that leave all the stuff out or machine hogs that sit talking on their phones between sets.

I recently had a 'diet moment' with some guy that had about 4 sets of DBs out by his bench for 'drop sets'. What a tw*t hwo can you possibly focus on the first DB if you are already thinking about the last 3-4 DBs. To make matters worse he was a mobile talker as well.

I just stole the weights off him while he was talking on the phone. Sometimes being big does have its advantages although I did feel like a bully afterwards.

ill regularly give lads help with their diets in the gym.. the other night a lad whos been training a few months asked if i could give him some advice as he wants to take his training more serious... when id finished training i asked him what he would normally eat...

"what time is your first meal of the day?"

"about 11:30 am"

"bloody hell thats late, what would you eat?"

"mcdonalds"

"jesus, how many times a week is it mcdonalds?"

"every day"

...lass who works in gym is standing in background.. laughs and says "your f**ked, hes gonna have you eating chicken all day"

Tell him to set his alarm clock earlier... McDonalds is now open for breakfast from 6.30am and some even take credit cards...
