Situation..... 25 years old 5' 7" 9 stone 3lb I have been told i have the perfect physique, not blowing ones own trumpet, I see bruce lee when i look into the mirror!! Iam as strong as people twice my size, my forearms are like popeye! Its all very nice, im young, strong and "chiseled"!, trouble is i look skinny because of it! I have virtually 0% body fat Where i need help.... What i would like to know is... What is the best way to gain mass, bulk? I occasionally train, but to be honest muscle just seems to grow on me with out no effort. My question is, to gain weight shall i simply eat more? or start lifting heavy weights? Im being put off by the later because surely I will burn more calories, therefore making me loose weight? I struggle to gain weight, i could easily eat ten big mac's with no weight gain! Am i a victim of my own muscle density burning off all these calories ? Please help guys/girls? Ta Jon |

| Illuminati | if you want to change your body shape start doing squats and deads mate- i used to weigh 9 stone at 5"9. if you check out my first ever pic you`ll notice i was quite ripped too it is much harder for ectomorphs to gain weight, but if you stick with an slight excess of cals over a SUSTAINED period it will happen. ______________________ einsteins mind was the key to all things...to understand more than to know. www.englishmuscle.co.uk www.extremenutrition.co.uk |

(Total Cals, and whats the Protein, Carbs and Fat split?) Are you hitting all the basic compounds heavy? (Deadlifts, Squats, Bench, Dips, Chins etc etc etc etc) You need to eat and workout in order to gain muscle... Hope that helps. |

If I start on the heavy weights( going to do free weights only - dont believe in machinery!) is this going to affect my weight gain? Dont want to burn all those extra earned calories with exercise! Is the myth of burners and storeres true? Burners - naturally burn fat easier Storerers - naturally hold weight |

| Illuminati | yup youre an ectomorph and they naturally have hi metabolisms- endo morphs have the opposite problem and are prone to being of hi BF mesomorphs are lucky fcukers having the best of both worlds.9naturally lean and musclular) start squatting and deading and add some compound exercises and your appetite will increase naturally ______________________ einsteins mind was the key to all things...to understand more than to know. www.englishmuscle.co.uk www.extremenutrition.co.uk |

Muscle does not just grow on you this is impossible without stimulation what happens is that you get defined and this appears like you have gained muscle ... sorry to burst your over inflated balloon but believe me you have not got the perfect physique.....and to gain muscle then you must eat 6-8 meals a day 4500-5000 calories a day at least it is obvious that you have a very high metabolism but so have a lot of guys these are what are called hard gainers and to gain good hard muscle you need to eat the calories and train using the basics which include machines.... So if you want help which i am sure you do post up your diet and training routine in the appropriate section of the board so we can help..... ______________________ www.omegalabs.co.uk http://www.extremenutrition.co.uk/at...ough/index.php |

I agree i do not have the perfect physique (why ive come for help ) The missus tells me i have but guess she's biassed! My lack of calories is what is making it hard for me to gain the weight! Suggestions on what type of thing to eat, any supplement advice would be great. Trouble is i have a very small appetite and also having the high metabolism cant help either! Any suggestions a way to give me more of an appetite? Also have time contraints on when i can eat etc due to the nature of my job! Thanks Again Jon |
