Default My Wife Doesn't Understand Me!

Two examples of my other half trying really hard to be supportive:

The other day I brought a new Protein Shaker. Impressed with this, my wife went out and brought two more; a spare one for me ("In case we get behind with the washing up") and one for my son's lunchbox.

This afternoon, I go to make my shake and she's inked my name onto the lid - ("so you don't get them muddled up"). She'll be sewing mittens into my coat sleeves next.

Then tonight, she's just come in from work with a KFC - "I didn't get you any chips. Thought you might like a change from plain breasts all the time"

I love her to bits

Has anyone else got any examples of their other half's attempts to be supportive but getting it wrong?

whilst im dieting she has a habit of sitting next to me eating some form of pudding going.."mmmmm this is delicous you can really taste the cream".. or "ooooh this custard is lovely and thichk and creamy"

also ill come in from work, i have an area on the kitchen bench where i prepare all my food etc. for the next day.... shell leave things right there like packets of sweets for the kids and pieces of cake!!! just so i have to move them obviously!! lol

oh and she works at our local asda... and shes so proud of me shes shows her workmates pictures of me on stage... so half the local supermarket has seen me in my undies!!!

but i love her to bits... and she also cooks ALOT of chicken!!! lol

Yeah i think there is a pattren developing around the dieting and food situation but i think its pretty cool they make the effort to help with food etc even if they get it wrong sometimes, biggest problem for me is she trains more than me so we go to the same gym and finding a gym thats suitable for both of us is pretty hard.

Really like the name on the shaker thats pretty damn special, hope you managed not to laugh?

my other half gets moody when I turn down any form of food that is unhealthy e.g. party size bag of revels or maltesers. She feels guilty as I dont eat any i think

i met the misses 10 yrs ago at the time i was a gym rat and gained well & trained with a guy who won lots of shows. Eventually i gave up the gym to start a business and also we had a child on the way. 8 years later i brought a 4 storey old victorian house and i built a great gym in the basement and started training. "shit" talk about moan, i came home at 5 to train and she'd start tea and id be getting ready to train, so we would clash. Then id leave half my tea cos it was too high in carbs. So to stop the moaning i started training at 9pm but then she moaned that she never saw me, so i was never going to win.

Any way cut a long storey short i asked her to leave in the end as it just was not working out. Now i get to train when i want and eat what i cook.

She blames the gym for our split, but we had our problems b4.

As we had a very amicable split we are very good friends, in fact we all just come back of holiday, i dropped her off at her gaf and then came home.

Here's another one:

Yesterday, I asked my wife to take some progress photos for me.Now,neither of us are good photographers but these were shockingly bad. In the back double biceps shot, she's cut off 2/3rd of my left arm. I'm quite proud of my calves at the moment but 7 of the 9 pictures stop at the knee. All 9 of them are ludicrously dark - you can't make any definition out.

I can get a bit anal about "getting things right" so I snapped and she snapped back and it took a lot of smoothing (and a walnut whip) on my part to make the peace.

Not got a GF at the moment but a girl i used to live with was insecure with me training all the time and basically looking good.

Anytime we passed macdonalds she would 'pull in i want something'. We would be sitting in the drive thru and she would ask 'what i wanted' which i would reply 'nothing'.

She would go in a huff and and say 'well im not having anything unless you eat something too'. I always gave in.

When we moved in together i was in the best shape i have been, i felt and looked great. After 2 1/2 years i looked like a slob and felt like shit.

Changed days now, she is history. Not make that mistake again.

Why do we do this?(give in, I mean). I do the same pretty often. My wife will say she fancies a pizza being delivered and I say "go on then" but she wo'nt order unless I have something too. In the end, I often go along with it and have a pizza I don't really want.

So, thats three of us who do the same thing. Why? What is so hard in sticking to our guns?
