Default England vs Portugal

Was that not the crellest thing thats ever happend to England, the guys played hard and well against a team of diving cheats and derserved a win especially with 10 men.

And as for Rooney being sent off! Its a f*cking conspiracy, that was the softest sending off I've seen in this tourney. There are guys getting off with murder and they red card him for what actually???

I heard on the radio people blaming Sven, he didn't teach the Portuguese to act so well or encourage them to cheat, he didn't somehow cause the ref to make incomprehendible decisions and he couldn't help losing key players for this game. We could have torn that team apart if we had a full team and just a liitle good fortune.

Ronaldo shouldn't bother coming back to England after his part in it all, did you see what he did to Rooney at the start? He knew how to wind him up and set out to do it in my opinion.

Rooney is liable to stick one on him at Man U, if he doesn't I think there will be fans with a vedetta against him, he deserves it.

yep i was a little angry to say the least, and ranaldo is a scrote...especialy while he was taking the penalty with that smug grin on his face and kissing the ball..he shouldnt bother come back to england after showing no respect at all, fair enough rooney stepped on the guys nutts but he was being fouled by two men and was trying to stay up, if you noticed he didnt aim his feet anywere as he never looked down, i wont be surprised to find out that the top man at fifa (blatta) had been taking back handers again to sway the chances in one teams favour.

anyway its done and dusted now so take a deep breath and let it go..........ITS A FIX I TELL YA

its time for a rant!!!

i think rooney is already warming up his argos sovereigns for ronaldos spotty chin if he ever dares step back into manchester! which i doubt.. hell be away i think... he doesnt have much effect anyway.. other than dancing round the ball a bit!!

did anyone notice tho... after rooney had shoved him... while the referee was taking rooney away... ferdinand came over and gave him a shove too... as did neville.... BOTH his current team mates too! lets just hope that he does stay at manu and they get millwall away in the cup!!! lol

the players we have we should have wiped the floor with them... the first 10 minutes we played excellent and our two attacking midfielders were up there with rooney connecting the passes and creating gaps in the portugese defence..... after that.... it was abysmal... we created nothing!! we have a player in rooney who any team in the world would pay £30million for... and our tactics made him look average!!! why oh why oh why oh why do you play your best player out of position??? why do you bring a striker who your NOT going to play... crouch did well against portugal (better than rooney in fact) but he still isnt world class... defoe could be! why was carrick not brought on???

i have always backed sven as he seems to be a good calming influence on the players.. but i think he fcuked up and was out of his league here!!

and my last point!!

HOW ON EARTH CAN YOU JUSTIFY THESE PLAYERS WAGES (£100k A WEEK).... AND THEY TAKE PENALTIES SO BADLY... THEY ARE PROFESSIONALS ITS THEYRE JOB TO KICK FOOTBALLS WELL.... THESE WERE PATHETIC!!! they should be embarrased with them penalties as its nobodys fault but their own!

whilst i agree its the keepers job to save them, but players who miss the target altogether are un excusable considering how much time they spend practising.

also if teh ball is struck hard enough it should still go in anyway. as much as i hate to say it the germans are good at taking penalties, this is because they hidt teh ball hard so even if teh keeper does save it the ball still goes agross tehline withe teh keeper attached. look at hargreaves he plays in germany and booted the ball like a german and scored.

Paul.... yeah its teh keepers job to save em.... but when hit so tamely it just makes it easy for him.... id have no problems if the penalties were good ones... but most of them were hit very nervously with little confidence!! at least in 1990 waddle and pearce had a good crack at the ball (even if they did have their eyes shut!!)

i also think its a good thing beckham has stepped down... i do think sometimes cos hes captain he works harder at that than his "actual" strengths in his position so hopefully we will see more runs etc. from him in future!

Keepers hardly save pens, the player takling them hits them at the keeper. Keeper takes a decision left or right if the pen taken is low and weak then the ball will hit the keeper, if the ball is struck hard Pearce style then it it the back of the net b4 the keeper moves.

Any way Joe Cole awsome why take him off should of taken Lampost (Lampard) off, im sure if England had played in Blue he would of scored a few of those sitters he missed, he did not deserve to wear that White shirt of England.

to be honest i thought lampard was our missing link.. if hed had found his scoring boots the whole teams confidence would have went up! it wasnt for lack of effort though... he was hitting the shots rather than shying away from them... and we all know hes capable of burying them...

as with rooney i think it was our tactics/system that made lampost look poor!

To go too the world cup with 2 injured forwards, one who can't score and one who has never played was always going to end in failure, i had no doubt owen would get an injury at some point and we didn't have a replacement, i don't blame rooney the blame lies with the manager.
