Default Training For Special Needs

Does anyone out there know of any circuit/cardio/weight classes in the London area for adults with special needs.

My lad, who has autism, is now 16. I could take him to one of the classes at my gym but he would struggle in a mainstream group and a special needs group would be safer.

Been looking for ages but no joy.

hmm...unique question, perhaps call around local gyms and ask the manager(s) if they know of anything in the area...?

Thanks mate. I've tried that but without much luck. The current buzzword is "integration" which actually means "we aren't prepared to spend the money on special needs", so a few gyms are prepared to admit him into one of their existing classes (for mainstream adults) but I know he would struggle. Having said that, since I posted this thread I've persuaded my gym manager to start something up and in the meantime I'm going to take himmyself to one of the regular cardio classes (that will be a shock to the system for me as all my training has been geared towards bodybuilding. Me and circuits aren't the best of friends)

Thanks for your interest; I'll post up a report once we've got it started
