Who will watch the World Cup?

We are pig sick of it already in Scotland, every time the news comes on its "And now the headlines, Wayne Rooney scratched his backside twice today and there were 2 people shot in Glasgow. Sven says he is confident his team selection will not be restricted, oh and the guy found guilty of raping a 3 month baby was sentenced to 8 years".

I know most of our members are in Engerland and wondered how many of you will actively follow the games.

To be honest I dont really care much for the world cup im not a chav so I dont instantly jump on the england bandwagon of hooliganism and buy a bunch of merchandise which will be useless for 4 years!

Id rather watch an olympia or an arnold!

But im hoping a country like Sweden will win just because the people are nice and the chicks are hot!

Japan or South Korea would be cool too!

Every time a football game is on especially england etc im gonna hit gym as itll be as empty as a library!

Most people can stay at home drinking or going to the pub getting fat etc... time for me to work out big time seriously!!!

Thats my thoughts!

i will watch the england games but i am sick of all these england flags/hats and wing mirror things...and as my wife has pointed out all these guys wearing england shirts don't they realise that if your name is not beckham then you look like an idiot

Hot chicks, cool people who are nice to you and don't try to bash your brains out when you visit their country.

I was there in december and loved it, I'll probably go back this year again to the swedish fitness festival in december.

Im not a big footbal fan by any means, i only watch it when the world cup is on, being a english man im behind my country no matter what, i know the crimes are terrible that dont make the news and they dont make the news for a reason!, government controll of what is broadcast!, it is controlled in a manner as not to provoke a public outcry, it is just to keep us in our place, sad but true!, i will be behind my country all the way as i think i owe it to all that died trying to defend it, so i have big respect for my homeland!.

If you dont like what you see on the TV turn it over, if you dont like our countrys own flag being paraded proudly as it should be ignore them.

When the british womens team won the Gold in the curling in the olympics i thought it was great and had no sour grapes because they were all scottish.

i can understand why the scottish dont like hearing about the english team... as i would be sick of having the scottish team crammed in my face if england failed to get in the world cup, so i see were your coming from on that one, but the english people that dont back there own country well i think its a shame.

Im with extreme dont think his comment was out of order!

You come to england and unless your in a nice area you will get a nice little chav or hood rat come along and try to rob or insult you! I had an orange thrown at me from a tower block!!! WHAT THE FURK FOR!!!!! Then the silly chav gives me 2 fingers! Now I would love for him to go down the stairs and try that face to face and see if he is such a ****y bastard then!

You go to sweden etc just nice people all around!

You cant tar everybody with the same brush splinter not everybody in england wants to bash peoples heads in, talk like that stems back to the situation in the 80s when the football hooliganism was at its worst, admitedly things are still not perfect but other countrys arnt either!, remember the 2 brits that were stabbed to death in turkey...i do!, there are football hooligans were ever you go now and its only the english that have put tighter controls on known hooligans, but mud sticks and the english wont get rid of the hooligan name its been branded with for a long time, just about every time i have seen an incident in recent times on the tv regarding english supporters getting in to fights it turned out they were not the instigators but were the ones set on by foriegn fans.

Chavs are a different breed from what we have ever seen before!, the law cant touch them, the parents cant control them because of the new laws that the inerfiering do gooders have had brought in, so this leaves them to do what the hell they like.

Spot on splinter as regards to dealing with chavs!, it will only get worse untill somebody has the balls to stand up against the do gooders, the is a saying that goes somthing like this

"if you throw a frog in hot water it will jump out!, but if you put a frog in cold water a slowly heat the water the frog will just sit there and boil!!."

were the frogs in cool water being heated up gentley!.

you can garauntee that there will be other organisations throughout the world that deal in football violence, its like the poor brazilian that scored an own goal and lost his team the chance of winning the world cup!, when he returned back to brazil he was shot dead because of it!, from all parts of the world there are idiots that ruin football for the people that realy enjoy it but these are a minority and the majority are people that are peacefull and enjoy the game and have fun!.

you've got to be joking! There's certainly a problem with violence in Britain and especially underage crime which seems to be getting worse. We've lost a lot of our family values and the family network, so different to here in Spain.

I hate the whole Chave stuff, lack of respect for teachers and the elderly BUT capital punishment hasn't worked in America and it wouldn't work in the UK. Bring backsome kind of military service or camp for young offenders maybe but the problem I feel stems from the homes.

Anyway, we're never going to make friends talking about politics!
