Sigs

It appears the sigs are down. Any ideas boss?

hi i currently disabled them, i have been testing the site as it was running slow earlier and i think this may be the cause.

i,m gonna keep a eye on it.

sigs with pics and banners will do that...maybe just allow text and html links in sigs...if no way to selectively allow that we can make an announcement and then mods can enforce and advise members...

lol sigs with pics and banners dont slow the site down at all, they are cached within the browsers memory same as avatars are. They do not use any of the musclechat server resources as they are hosted remotely.

what will slow the server down is having a recent topics list at the bottom of the page which causes the database to perform serveral near full table scans.

but i have no problem removing mine if you think it will make a difference.

i have no idea on this, but it appears to be quicker today, but we,ll see tommorow..

the recent topics is ideal for seo, gives the appearence of fresh content.
