Default Why is this?

I've heard people say that you should drink your protein shakes within 10 minutes after blending them...why is this?

Because the protein denatures - i don't know the science but I assume this means that it begins to 'digest' and doesn't act in the way it should when you finally drink it

razg?

I have read before that using a blender is bad. not sure why. most whey says 20 mins. maybe due to enzymes as Nick said above.

Thats shite. No different to shaking, or stirring. Some people got some funny ideas.

I think its somthing to do with the blades nick, so much different to a fork spinning around your shaker instead

maybe this is a little extreme but...

the more a food is ground up, the quicker it is absorbed and passed through the body. I cant see how grinding up a shake would make a difference seeing as its a very fine powder anyway?
