There are many ligaments, tendons, muscles which can get torn, pulled etc. From what I've heard it's quite easy to damage tendons and ligaments when taking steroid because our tendons/ligaments take longer to strengthen. I think that the fact that you notice it when sneezing is a real clue. The tightnes is probably due to some trauma created when lifting a weight too heavy or not warming up properly on a chest or back workout. Take it a bit easier for a couple of weeks, and if it's still bothering you or it gets worse or you start feeling dizzy, then go to the doctor. But I do think it's easy to get overly worried about these things. I had the same sympoms in my back just below the shoulder blade. I was convinced it was something serious. Ended up being a pulled ligament, or something along those lines. Still have to be careful now after ten years! PS I'm not a doctor. |

The heart pumps blood throughout your entire body several times a minute. When you inject into a vein the oily substance goes straight into your blood stream, and into your heart, brain and other organs within seconds, it is said that this can possibly cause a stroke or even death. There are not many recorded cases of this, and the chance of actually hitting and injecting into a vein is extremely rare especially if you inject into large muscles. There have been cases, that I read about, where people have injected air into their veins with no adverse side effects. The body has a high level of tolerance, and should be able to filter out the oily substance. However with the oil being denser than blood, it may cause a blockage or slowing of the blood flow which in turn could cause complications. There is not much research on this subject, although you will probably find something on the NET. But chances are if you are still walking around as normal shortly after giving yourself an injection you're OK. To be safe always keep everything clean, and always aspirate! |
