How do you make it small enough to use? Can't seem to get it below abuout 12k.

I don't think avatars are working anyway - I uploaded one about 5 times with no luck.

if you have a programme like dell photo studio( i used this ) or paint shop pro etc you should have a option called "resize". there should then be another option so you can resize by pixels rather than mm. this should reduce the size of file needed to contain the picture without reducing it to the size of an ant!

oh yeah, this doesn't mean that you'll get it to work though. i dont know whats going on. im going for the red cross in white box look at the moment!

I used an avatar sizer to downsize my image. just type avatar sizer into google and your good to go . its all self explanitory once you download it .

Solved the problem.

It seems the only way to get the avatar pics to work is to host the image on a website.

Installing from my hard drive failed time and time again.
